IYou are God's Favorite Girl 

 

I recently lost a gold earring – a rather large gold hoop and you ladies know how we like to wear our gold and/or silver hoops.   I could not find this earring anywhere so I assumed that I just dropped it behind my dresser and that at some point, I would have to talk my husband into moving the dresser so that I could recover the hoop.

 

Typically, I spend my time in prayer during the wee hours of the morning and I spend this time in our basement.  As I was praying, tears began to well up and I could not help but to cry before the Lord – no it was not about the earring (smile).

 

As I reached for the last tissue in a box, I heard something rattling around.  I really did not want to stick my hand in the box since I am not into small critters like mice (smile).  Finally, I shook the box and guess what?  That rattling noise was the gold hoop that I must have dropped inside the tissue box two stories above the basement.  Of course I thanked God because this gold could have been lost forever, but my God, my Father revealed the location to me.  He cares about even the smallest care that we might have.

 

This reminded me of two scriptures as follows:

 

Luke 15:8-10 - NKJV (New King James Version)

 

“Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she has found it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I lost!’ 10 Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

 

Philippians 4:6-7 – ERV (Easy Reading Version)

 

Don’t worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks for what you have. 7 And because you belong to Christ Jesus, God’s peace will stand guard over all your thoughts and feelings. His peace can do this far better than our human minds.

 

Bottom Line:

 

God loves us so much.  We are His favorite girls and He wants us to have the best and not to worry about anything.  Ladies - say this with me: 

 

Heavenly Father, I believe that Jesus died on the cross for me and rose again.  I give You my life.  I want Jesus Christ to come into my life and into my heart.  Amen. 

 

You are not lost like that gold hoop, you are a child of God and the angels are now rejoicing over you!
